Architect Engineer

Natalia Skordou

Natalia Skordou (Larisa, Greece, 1997) graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Thessaly, in 2021. Her main field of interest is Computational Design and Digital Fabrication investigates. She has worked as an intern and an apprentice Architect in several Architectural office, she has also worked an external partner with several technical office engineers. She participated in several architecture competitions Also, in her free time she is involved in graphic design and 3d modeling.

Dr Dimitris Psychogyios

Dr Dimitris Psychogyios is an Architect Engineer and Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture of the University of Thessaly.His research interests cover the areas of design and construction technologies, the technologically advanced building systems and the intelligent building systems. He also works towards the direction of hybrid environments, knowledge management and philosophy of technologyHe received his Ph.D., Postgraduate Diploma and Diploma from School of Architecture of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and also received Bachelor in Civil Engineering from TEI of Heraklion. He is a member of the Technical Chamber (TEE) since 2005, he has a large number of completed architectural projects and has participated in numerous architectural competitions. He has previously worked at the JSA Architectural Office based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Story

Get to Know Us

The Main aim of our project is to design lightweight construction modules in public space, which the users can use it such as a place for exhibitions, video projection, a place for relax, entertainment or education. The central idea behind this project is based on open construction design, which will be publicly available for modification in forums. Τhe production of modules can be used everywhere without high costs for the construction or transportation with the least technical knowledge as possible. We want to create a “community” in which several scientific and technical professionals will cooperate in order to produce this project. In theory, the size and the scale will be unlimited, depending on the exhibition’s subject. The project contains 2 divisions, the first one is used for recording and displaying exhibition’s materials and the second one guide the visitor. The prefabricated modules will be produced and assembled, like a puzzle, in situ using CNC with the guidance of manuals.
